GWG/CCT Jr. Assistant – Coral Triangle Initiative on Coral Reefs

Under the supervision of the Governance Working Groups (GWG) and Cross Cutting Themes (CCT) Senior Manager, the applicant shall support both the Governance Working Groups and Cross Cutting Themes operations and activities. Additionally, the applicant shall also provide support to the CTI-CFF National Secretariat at the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI).

Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide support in documentations and editing of reports, preparation and presentation materials.
Arrange and manage the administration of correspondence and communication concerning GWG/CCT activities to the CT6 member countries and MOSTI.
Provide assistance in the delivery of outputs of the GWG/CCT activities include sharing and consolidating necessary decision documents
Provide administration and secretarial support and assistance in the preparation of major events such as Pre-SOM/SOM/MM and other GWG/CCT activities e.g. follow up participants, logistical arrangements, preparation of travel documents, etc.
Support and work with the Senior Manager to form new partnerships with other relevant organizations to enrich the cross cutting themes programs and activities within the ambit / goals of the Regional Plan of Action.
Assist the Senior Manager to coordinate seamlessly between various other bodies within the CTI-CFF framework to all Governance Working Groups activities and Cross Cutting Themes programs.
Directly report to the GWG/CCT Senior Manager in the daily implementation and completion of the services and deliverables as previous required.

Requirements:
Candidates must have a Bachelor Degree in environmental management; marine resource management; environmental public policy or any other similar subject. Other relevant certifications would be an added advantage.
Working experience in conservation organizations is an asset.
Experience in the Office software package (Word, Excel and Powerpoint) is a must. Familiarity with other software such as Microsoft Project and others would be advantageous.
Fluency in written and spoken English is a must. Knowledge of other CT6 Member Countries working language is an asset.
Well disciplined, able to cope in potentially stressful situations, self-motivated and positive attitude with customer-oriented minds and diplomatic approach

Type of Employment is Contract-basis with duration for 3 (three) months initially, and can be renewed upon performance assessment, availability and the mutual agreement of the candidate and the Regional Secretariat.
