Communications Specialist – IBCWE

About the position
Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Communications Specialist will be responsible to create, implement and manage communications strategy designed to generate program awareness, brand identity, support campaign, advocacy, business opportunities and fundraising for the organization. The Communications Specialist will be responsible for:
Develop and implement a communication and campaign strategy for all related working areas of the coalition, in line with the overall business plan.
Develop and implement a media action plan to establish and maintain relationships with media at national level, in order to promote the work of the coalition.
Work closely with the program department and partners; translate technical information into targeted communication messages according to the established strategies.
Develop communications materials for targeted stakeholders; to positively impact fundraising, promotion, brand image and identity.
Manage the design and production of specific communication tools required and requested for fundraising programs, programs and projects.
Develop a digital engagement strategy, particularly related to website and social media engagement
Establish and manage the organization’s website and social media accounts as part of the communication and campaign tools
Work closely with the program team on event management
Maintain relationships with organizations and institutions in Indonesia in order to promote visibility and public recognition of the coalition.
Participate in the national/global/regional networks, actively contributing to the exchange of best-practices and joint efforts to improve quality and impact of coalition’s programs.

Requirements
At least Bachelor degree majoring in communication
Minimum 5 years’ experience in managerial level in communication, campaign and marketing
Experiences in developing communication strategy for ‘new-born’ organization
Experiences in website management and using social media as communication and campaign channels
Wide networks across the private sector, media, and government
Experience in developing a website is an advantage

Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia; demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills

Generates creative, practical approaches to overcome challenging situations
